Collaborative Divorce Coaches


Collaborative Law collaborative divorce coaches, who serve in either the role of a child specialist or a client coach, are committed to the principles of Collaborative Law. These professionals may serve in either one of two roles in the process. The child specialist aids the parties in understanding the needs of the children and how to best parent them during and after the divorce. The party coach aids and supports a party in moving through the emotional difficulties divorce can bring and assist in maintaining focus and effective communication. The collaborative divorce coaches listed below are members of the Collaborative Law Group of Southern Arizona.

Vicki Loyer, Ph.D. LMFT

Vicki Loyer Ph.D., LMFT is the CEO/President of Blue Door Psychotherapy Associates, a clinical assistant professor in the Department of Psychiatry at the University of Arizona, and a Subject Matter Expert and Instructor for Graduate Studies at Grand Canyon University. She is an AAMFT Approved Supervisor and current past-president of Arizona Association for Marriage and Family Therapy. She has specialized in the development and dissolution of intimate relationships for over 35 years as a therapist, couples’ coach, and professor. She is a regular contributing author to the House Calls section of the Desert Leaf, co-author of books on marital relationships, and publishes and presents in the area of Mental Illness and Addiction in Families. Dr. Loyer is committed to assisting divorcing couples in their transition from marriage in ways that support the health and integrity of all of the family members.

Priscilla Misner

Priscilla Misner, LCSW, is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who has been practicing in Tucson for over 30 years.  After earning a Psychology degree from Stanford University and a Master’s in Clinical Social Work from the University of California at Berkeley, she returned home to Tucson to begin her work with children and families.  She was one of the founders of Esperero Family Center, a counseling center dedicated to serving families dealing with a wide variety of life challenges.

Priscilla specializes in healing family and parent/child relationships, impacted by stressful and traumatic life events.  This specialty has led her to participate in the field of collaborative Divorce, both as Divorce Coach and Child Specialist.  Her focus is on supporting what is best for the child and family.

Beth Winters

Beth is a licensed professional counselor who has been providing therapy in Tucson since 1986. She received her bachelor's degree in Psychology in 1984 from Northern Arizona University, her Master's degree in Counseling and Guidance from the University of Arizona in 1984, and earned 40 units in a Ph.d program in School Psychology from U of A. She specialized in treating children, families and individuals who have experienced trauma. For the last 10 years she expanded her practice to include working with families experiencing separation and custody issues. She has also sub-contracted to a K-6th grade school providing counseling for the last eight years. She has seen the devastation that a highly contested divorce can create for all member of the family and is committed to providing a more positive, proactive approach that the Collaborative Law Group Provides.
